Asian Candy Pop

The strangeness continues inside the members area. The layout is, well, unlike any I've ever seen. Upon logging in, the first thing you see is with a banner which reads: Asian Candy Pop. You might also notice the strange looking objects surrounding the banner. I sure did. And after hours of careful of analysis, I determined they were an artistic rendition of furry donuts glued to popsicles sticks. Works for me .... Just below the banner, you'll find the site's motto repeated again and, perhaps more importantly, a set of written instructions for downloading content. Don't let that alarm you, though — the directions are actually quite simple, and seemed to be aimed at those new to using a browser.

Indeed, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to browse the site. The setup is, admittedly, a little on the peculiar side, but not at all difficult to workout. Instead of using menus to navigate the site, all content fills the body of the main page. So, when you login, you'll see the 10 latest episodes. To go further back in the archive, just use the "next" buttons, conveniently placed at the top and bottom of the page. There are no individual update pages. Instead they've played a 45-second preview clip and a brief synopsis, as well as direct links to various download options, onto the listing. Well, it's fast. I'll give them that.

So fast, in fact, I found I'd "enjoyed" a good portion of the archive before I came out of my trance. In keeping with the "weird" theme, the episodes have a strange formula. The scenes, without exception, open with one or more females dancing and, eventually, pleasuring themselves. This part usually only lasts about five minutes, upon which time the music stops. After that, there's usually a dramatic cut, and the model can be seen already in the midst of some form of debauchery. For example, I was watching a petite girl dancing when, without warning, the music stopped and it cut to the model, on her knees, sucking off two extremely pale and hairy men. Scenes usually last around 25-30 minutes, and have shown everything from kinky girl-on-girl all the way up to sadistic M.M.F. threesomes. One thing all of the scenes have in common, though, is the demeanor of the models — they never quite seem to look like they're into it. Models can often be seen grimacing, sometimes even giving the camera a pleading look. Hot!

The latest videos come in a great looking 720p HD, as well as a lower quality file sharing the same resolution marked "Fast Download." Gotta run? No worries — there's a mobile option, too. The HD file looks, as expected, fantastic. Playback quality was great, and though the camera work(especially handheld) was, at times, a little unorthodox, it was never distracting. And I've gotta admit, there were a lot of really well timed close-ups.

As I touched upon earlier, there's a picture gallery attached to each episode. There can be anywhere from 45-90 photos in a set, and the images sport a surprisingly large resolution — much larger than the videos have, in fact.. Though these aren't the biggest sets I've seen, I think they've went with quality over quantity, because the arrangement of images is usually has a nice flow. My only complaint would be that galleries cannot be viewed on the site. I was similarly disappointed with the lack of streaming video. I think they might have taken the whole barebones layout idea a bit too far.

There's only 42 updates on the site, altogether. Unfortunately, since none of them have timestamps, it's difficult to ascertain the age of the site. But I highly doubt it's brand new. Not unless its update schedule is amazingly slow, anyway. Older updates are of a noticeably lower quality than newer 720p installments.

Even more troubling is the fact that files marked "Mobile" are actually only a 45 second preview of the episode — not the full episode in mobile format.

Also, though I don't mind a more reserved layout, I think the site could do with a few more navigational tools. Certainly it could use a few more features. A model index, for example, would do them a world of good. I mean, they've got all these beautiful Asian models and we know nothing about them. Well, except the fact that, in exchange for money, they'll commit depraved acts on film with hairy strangers. Hey, that's a start — even a turn on. But you know what? I'd enjoy watching their innocence destroyed even more if I knew a little about them. Mystery is nice, but I think — especially in a niche like this — that a little backstory can go a long way.
