Man Hookups

I'm always leary of small time dating sites. They show those big studs on the front pages of the site and advertise them as members of the site. We shall see if Man Hookups really delivers the goods or are they just another eHarmony.com wannabe.

Immediately when you login to this site they have an email messaging system so that you can send messages to other guys on the site. You can also see pictures of random members who are currently on the site. Also pictures of the newest members appear on the front page too. So just to test the waters, I found one particular guy who was online and I sent him a "hot flash". That is a pre-selected message that you can choose to send to him. Will I get a response?

If you are looking for a particular type of guy, they have a filtered search option that you can search for someone within your vicinity of your zip code. I put mine in for the hell of it and hundreds of guys came up to browse through. Which was amazing to me because I don't live in a big metropolis city anymore, I'm in a very small town. All of these men were within 100 mile radius of me. If I wanted to hookup with someone, I could literally hook up tonight if they were reachable and willing!

There are really a lot of cool bells and whistles on this site. You can see who viewed your profile today, who has you on their favorites list, and even get matched up with someone compatible by answering a series of quick questions. A few other really cool features is the ability to create your own weblog on their site, you can read your daily horoscope, and even get a gay news feed to keep up on the latest in gay and lesbian issues.

Possibly the coolest feature of this site is their "messenger" feature. They have their very own built-in instant messenger program like AIM or Yahoo Chat where you can chat live one on one with other site members. Other ways to get in touch with the other members on the site are shooting them an email, meeting up with them in a live chat room, or even talk with them live via video chat. You'll have to have a webcam for them to see you, but you can see them if you don't have one.

Other site features include message boards to post messages to other members. The ability to take a polls, and my very own favorite, "The Hookup Board". The Hookup Board is where you can search for other members within your area to hookup with. You can browse their dates of availability to hook up and if your schedule is open to theirs, you can message them to hookup!

Overall I thought the site was a really great dating site. They delivered everything they advertised and more! I was very impressed that not only do they have actual online members at the moment, but tons of different ways to get ahold of these other members for chatting! If I was a gay male looking for another male, I'd definitely start at this site!
