After signing in, the members’ welcome page appears, you are asked to click again to enter the site, although you are already in it, an extra security measure maybe? It’s only one extra click and worth the effort as, when the real members’ main page appears, it is plain sailing from here on in. This simplicity is typical of the site; it’s easy to use and navigation is quick and logical.

First the galleries. The index is laid out by month dating back to 2002 and you can instantly see that the promise of a weekly update has been kept. There are four or five photo-sets per month featuring solo or action galleries. Each gallery contains, on average, 100 images which expand from cropped thumbnails to full size pictures around the 700 x 600 px range. Each weekly update features the model or models of the week, their portrait, their country (Brazil, Ecuador, Puerto Rico etc.), a small written intro, links to the video clips and galleries.

Before we go on I have a question: how do you know if a model is straight or gay? Some of the models' intros say things like ‘one of these guys is straight’, or ‘this straight stud came to us…’ but of course there is no way of telling. One of the guys in a duo gallery didn’t look like he was enjoying sucking his mate’s cock until he poured beer over it and started licking it off, so that might be some kind of hint I guess. You will need Quicktime installed as this is the only format available, but there is a link to the free download on the public part of the site. So, with the software installed I clicked on a duo video clip and sat back to be impressed. The film started on a small pop-up screen that I couldn’t expand, and there was no option to download to my PC for later viewing. Not a problem. But then my browser crashed and closed. A problem with the newly installed software maybe? I reconnected and picked up where I’d left off. I then got an error message telling me that I should disconnect my firewall in order to view Maximo Latino properly; maybe this was my problem. So, firewall disconnected (not something I enjoy doing) I tried the clip again. It took 13 minutes to open the 3 minute clip (ISDN 64kbs dial up) which started automatically. And, apart from the fact that I did not get sound, the clip was worth waiting for. The quality is excellent, great clear viewing of two twinks wanking each other off and splattering their dark chests with creamy white cum. Much enthused I tried a solo clip.

Something that does bug me slightly about video clip selection (and I have found this on many sites not just Maximo Latino) is that there is no way of knowing what the clip will be; you usually have a number to select rather than a description. I reckon that if you like cum shots then select the highest number, if you like guys stripping then the lowest, it’s common sense stuff. So I selected the final clip of one really cute guy who I’d already examined closely in the galleries and waited.
