Epic Male

There is a very simple design to this site. When I logged in I came to a home page where there was a top menu covering the top banner, and then a set of sample images giving me titles, runtimes, views and rates. Beneath these were the latest DVDs shown as box covers, and then the standard links for help and support. So, I went straight to the Videos section where you can view either the scenes or the full DVDs.

There were 745 scenes taken from the DVD releases (not exactly the ‘thousands’ that were promised). What I could not work out was whether these movies are exclusive or not. I checked a couple of other reviews that said this was a network of 12 exclusive sites, but what I had here was just a collection of DVDs and scenes. There were 16 different categories in the Browse area, but no information to tell me where these scenes were from. And I didn’t recognise the titles, but as there was no studio information I was left in the dark on his point. Anyway, as for the movies themselves:

The categories range from Fetish to Twink, Latin to Straights, Three-way to Dilf. There is a goodly amount of variety at Epic Male and the scenes are easy to get to. With each one I found a stream and three downloads. There were high, medium and low quality versions in WMV and Mp4 files types. You can't miss the download buttons. I found the download speed was around 150kbps and stayed around that level even when I was downloading two scenes. The quality of scenes is generally fine and I had no complaints there; good, solid, standard filming with good performances from the guys.

Each scene comes with a set of images, at least all the scenes I saw did, and these are found beneath the streaming window. You can click to see the full photo set, where actual numbers vary and I saw pictures at 1,066 x 1,600 when at full size, they opened in new windows, so here was some opening and closing going on, but you can also download zip files. The quality was great, no troubles there, and you get a nice mix of action and posed shots, plus slow strips from some of the guys before they get down to the hardcore.

Your Browse command in the top menu also lets you browse the model index where there were 598 guys to check out. Not all of them had an image here, there were quite a few ‘shadows’ instead, and I couldn't see any way of rearranging the modem index; it was presented in first name alphabetical order. There is no information about them either, simply links to their scenes.

Also in your top menu there is a place for Extras. You can go to the Jizz Vault or Live Cams. Again there was no explanation here and I was getting a bit grumpy about the lack of info. Some of the DVDs I’d just seen were listed here as ‘Jizz Vault latest DVDs’ and the Browse All tab gave me a page 404 error. There were sections for Shemale action and Straight porn (the sign up page had invited me to see all of the Shemale collection for some reason), and a small selection of gay scenes that may or may not have come from the main collection. Confusing.
