Hard Friction

Once you are settled in to your members’ area you’re going to find a functional and well laid out home page. Here there is a long list of news, in a scroll-box so it doesn’t get in the way of the rest of the page, there is a search engine and a members’ poll, and then pics and news to show you the latest updates. What’s also really cool here is that you can straight away see the live show schedule – this is one of those rare sites where the live show is actually included and not an up-sell; so that’s a great bonus for a start.

But I was eager to see the videos and particularly to see who was in them, and this was my first disappointment. Actually I shouldn’t be too disappointed, Hard Friction is still new to us and so the numbers are not great yet. I counted six hardcore, ‘XXX’ videos, four screen tests and two in the erotica section. Bear in mind that the site has only been running fro a couple of months, and there are updates happening. But my second disappointment was to do with actually viewing the movies. When I clicked the stream, the media player was not centre of my screen. This meant I could only see the top half of the action and there was no way of sliding the player up and into the middle of my screen. I did try another browser and tried altering my screen settings but still no joy. If you have the problem then contact the help and support department, I am sure they will tell you how to overcome it.

But back to the videos; you’ve got a good choice of viewing here with five choices of Flash streaming initially – this player, when it opens, then contains a drop-down list of five WMV choices too, from 38k up to 1800k. You are going to find a lot of Bruno Bond and Steve Cruz here, these are the two guys behind the site (and others) and they sure know how to appear in porn as well as make it. Both are great to view, hard and horny all the way and they like their guys to be real men, no twinks here! You'll also find that the filming quality is good with neat camerawork, sounds and clear visuals. Obviously the choice of resolution is up to you, but whatever you chose there’s nothing to fault with the actual productions.

Checking out the model index I found 14 guys already loaded up and ready to rock. This isn’t a very informative model index as yet, you simply get the guy’s sample pic and links to his appearances, but it all bodes well for the future, certainly when it comes to the quality of the models. If these are first-timers, as we’re told they are on many occasions, then I can’t wait to see what they’re like after some experience. You should find some more info about the guys in the Screen Tests area, where there are chats and interviews with the men before the hot sex starts. These movies also give you a kind of behind the scenes view of life in a porn studio which is fun and interesting; and don’t forget the erotica videos which are more sensual and equally as horny.

All these movies come with galleries. In your information box per episode you see how many pics there are, but this doesn’t link you to the gallery – you have to click the main sample pic for that and then you get the background info and the images. These also open in Flash, like the movies, and again they were not centred on my screen but hanging off the bottom, so I missed half the images. (A little note about what to do if this happens would be good to see.) But these were clear and digital pics at a good size, there are jump-to lists and slideshows too, though not a huge number of pics in each gallery.

For even more hot and steaming action don’t forget to check out the live shows. On the Live page you have the schedule and then a huge list of pre-recorded shows, over 200 of them, from Men Live. I have to say the viewing screen isn’t huge to start with but each show ran for around an hour. That, and the feed sites you can access, add a little extra value for money and give you something else to view while you wait for more updates.
