The promise here is of straight guys going gay in reality scenes and you can clearly see what is new from the front page of the tor and members’ area. There’s a neat top menu the makes it easy to navigate, plus a kind of other menu in that first, big, image box you see on the home page. Beneath this are sample shots of the recent updates and to the right the lists of most popular stars and scenes, there’s a modern look to the site and it all looks very neat.

My first complaints came as soon as I clicked the link to see all site episodes, a pop-up page opened advertising some straight sex thing. Actually this had happened on the tour as well, so that’s my second complaint. Closing that I found the page of updates, with square thumbnails, dates, votes and navigation tools. The 316 scenes are being added to once per week on the current update schedule, and you are able to see what’s coming up a few weeks in advance, which is nice. On the individual viewing pages you find a stream that starts straight away, more or less, and three choices for stream quality, and one for download. Click the download button and you get a message: As a member you can only download 15 movies per month, so your downloads are not only limited by the file type and size chosen for you, but by the amount of them you can take. As you are paying nearly $40.00 per month, this seems a bit unfair.

My issues continued the more I looked at the site. I started viewing a stream or two in HD and found there was start and stop going on due to my connection speed, so I opted for a lower speed one, but it never started. Once I opened a page I was given HD and could not get out of it unless I changed the option before the stream started. I also thought that there was not enough persuasion involved, not of the sort I’d been led to expect to see by the tour. Some scenes started off with two guys kissing and getting straight down to the sex. I didn’t see every scene of course, but for a reality site these scenes came across as simply another hardcore gay site. There were also solo scenes which are clearly not on the promised theme. However, looking back further towards the early days I did find more scenes with interviews where you could decide for yourself if the straight guy was really straight and how authentic the realty angle was.

Older movies may not have the same high quality standards as the more recent ones of course, but all scenes I saw came with images. These are found on the same viewing pages, with thumbnails that open up to 666 x 800 in size, for example, so they fit the screen just fine. You can view the images separately, while the scene is running, and you can take zip file downloads of them in sets.

The viewing pages are also nicely interactive with an add to favourites function, comments and rates, and a link to ‘live chat.’ I think this is so you can chat instantly with other members when you are viewing, but the service was down when I tried it. Navigation was fine at His First Gay Sex, and the design is neat. The site is functional and technically works fine (apart from the chat). The top menu also leads you easily to your extras.

These are good and plentiful: 12 sites under the Reality Series heading, 10 under the bonus network, and 28 under the Bonus Content tab. But hang on a minute: the network consists of up-sell chat and cam sites, feeds and places that will eventually cost you money, the Bonus Content is feed sites that are supplied to a lot of other sites and the Reality Series of sites, though made by Male Spectrum, are also used as feed sites by other members’ areas from different companies. So, not only is your downloading limited but this content is available in many other places.
