Homo Active TV

The thing that impressed me most about this site was how easy it was to use. I’ve seen some PPV sites that are, sorry to say, clumsy. Here though it’s a simple case of adding money to your wallet (or buying things on your way out if you are buying downloads) and then browsing to see what movie you want to see. You can also do it the other way around, but the fact is, you don’t actually use/spend any money unless you are actually streaming a scene.

So how do you stream a scene? Well, you can check out what’s new, and what’s popular from the lists, or from the sample shots on your first page. Then you come to the page where you can view, and I found that each of these movies was laid out like a DVD, which is what they are. So you get to choose which scene you want to see. This is important because you often get attracted to a movie by who you see on the cover, and here you can find that exact boy or scene. There are good descriptions and write-ups so you know what’s going to happen, you can jump between scenes when you are viewing and, when a download is available, you are given links and instructions.

The viewing quality is good here, you are not going to be disappointed with that. You will be better off on a faster connection though as these streams can be a little heavy on the buffering; it depends on how you are connected. And I am not sure if you are still paying even when the stream is not running but you've started. So, for example, if you start the movie and then pause it to let the buffer get well ahead, are you still paying for that time even though the movie isn’t actually playing? With prices set at $0.24 per minute and some scenes running for 25 minutes or more, you could end up paying over $6.00 for a 20 minute scene; more if your ‘waiting for buffer’ time is also added.

But you also have to choice of downloading; maybe not on every single scene, and there is an area for just the DVDs that can be downloaded. This way you find that you can keep the scenes that you see, though they will cost you some money. I ordered a full DVD for under $40, so that’s five or six scenes, and the download details were sent to the email address I had registered with. So make sure you use a real email address when you sign up!

Maybe I should give you some idea about numbers. I counted 70 studios with content here and you can select your studio from a page where they are all listed. I then checked out the ‘all movies’ link and found 25 index pages holding 2085 DVDs. These are full length DVDs, like you’d buy in a shop, so each one has got five or six scenes, making a total number of scenes at somewhere around 3,000, which is plenty of hours’ worth of viewing time. There are also 10 ‘themes’ or categories if you like and a search box so you can easily find what you want. Homo Active TV comes in five languages, you can see front and back covers for DVDs, there are details and release dates and cross-links to models’ other appearances. The design is nifty and everything runs smoothly and well. You’re never far away from help and support if it is needed and you get a good, solid, all-round service.
