The first thing that struck me about this site, after a quick look around the members’ area, was how detailed everything was. I've seen fetish sites that give you some movies and leave it at that, but here you have all kinds of other info as well. But we will get to the detail later. You want to know what kind of fetish action there is here and is it any good.

Starting at the home page I found magazine style cover shots showing some action from the most recent scenes. These showed: men being dominated, girls with strap-ons fucking each other, girls being spanked, BDSM, rubber cat suits and other costume play, anal insertions, foot worship and boot licking. So, that’s a pretty diverse variety to get us started and, what’s more, there is also more than a fair smattering of hardcore, blow jobs and anal going on around all this steamy kink.

Heading to the Updates area to find the videos, I found 1280 movies to view. These can be reordered and displayed in a variety of ways, making searching for your favourite kind of kink and filtering it out an easy task. The scenes are shown with a large sample shot, again the magazine cover style, and these lead to the viewing pages. Here you find upload dates (and the updates do seem to be weekly just as promised), a stream screen, a trailer, then download and stream options. There were four download choices in four different resolutions and sizes right up to 1080p, and there were the same in stream options, movies ran for around 15 minutes.

The quality is good here, not just because the films are often HD, but the filming and presentation is good. The sound is spot on so you hear every lash and groan, the scenarios are well played out and you can go full screen on the higher-end streams with no hassles. Older movies may not always be as large and sharp, some of the early scenes are from 2005 and 672 x 504 was the largest size here.

You will find galleries on the same viewing pages as the movies and here, in recent sets at least, there were images at 1,199 x 800 in size when at their mid-size resolution, these were clear and sharp and took you through the action of the movie they were attached to. They opened one at a time in new tabs, you can change their size and take zip file downloads, and they can also be displayed in Lightbox and Cooliris. As a special extra you also get to download the cover photo, the magazine cover.

For both videos and galleries, you are able to rate scenes, add them to a favourite place and make comments. There’s also a function where you can see the previous version of each page, which suggests that the site has had a re-vamp. As far as I can see there’s no missing info or detail on the new pages, so there’s probably no need to view the older versions, those pages also carry adverts whereas the new pages only have them down at the bottom or in the menu. But still, it’s an interesting thing to check out.

And talking of checking out, there’s the model index. This held 464 girls with large profile pics and good details; this is what I meant earlier about the amount of good detail here. You find her stats and her social networking links, there are linked tag words and lists of her content. You find links to other sites she appears on (and there are also links to other sites of interest in your menu, kind of up-sells but relevant ones) and you can make and read comments. That's the kind of good detail and interactivity a fetish site should have and House Of Taboo has it all.
