It's been a while since I've been inside one of the MET sites, but it seems nothing has changed as far as their level of professionalism is concerned. If anything, in fact, they've upped the ante. The members area is so impressively organized, thorough, and good-looking that I nearly shed a tear. Upon logging in, you're given the chance to set very specific navigational options, tailoring them to your own personal needs.
I'm particularly fond of the menu system, which effortlessly weaves together options for viewing content by month or even year, as well as tabs for your personal favorites, top models, even friends. The latter addition is one I'm seeing more and more lately. It seems these days you aren't one of the big boys unless you've incorporated an element of social networking in your site.
I just adore the way the galleries are organized. Each has its own thumbnail in the fashion of a very legitimate and professional looking magazine cover. This is a wonderful touch of class that, silly as it may sound, only adds to the overall browsing experience. Sometimes it's that extra drop of authenticity that sends an already stellar layout over the top.
Still not enough, you say? How about a search engine so finely tuned it lets you search by photographer, locale, hair color, eye color — even the amount of hair on her juicy love box?
With this site being the sister of
Met Art, which probably one of the better erotica sites on the scene, I had high hopes for the content. It's safe to say I wasn't let down. The majority of the content, as you'd probably expect, is of a softcore nature. However, the site really manages to convey the beauty of the true female form, which all too often, can get eclipsed by the nonstop dick pumping and booty grinding of the hardcore sites. These girls, who are absolutely gorgeous, are really shown in a sensual light, with most of the action showing them posing nude or semi-nude. I almost feel as if I'm lulled into a trance-like state I watch them as they bend over suggestively, lick their lips, preen their hair, flutter their lashes and all the things that an alluring beauty should do.
For the most part, the quality of both the photography and post-production work is superb. My only real beef is that some of the pictures are overly-airbrushed. I normally don't mind this, but in some sets it's done to such an extent that it gives the girls an unnatural, almost otherworldly appearance. I have nothing against minor touch-ups of a photograph. A model may have an unexpected skin issue on the day of the shoot, or even an embarrassing scar they need covered. But this was taken to such an extreme that it's laughable. Instead of enhancing their beauty, it only detracts from it, making me question just how many flaws these young ladies had that called for such drastic measures. Thankfully, this buffoonery is relegated to only one or two of the photographers, so it's not really that big of a deal.
This site goes all the way back to 2005. With daily updates, they've managed to amass over 2436 galleries. With an average of roughly 100 images per, that's over 180,000 pictures. Not bad at all. The photos are served up in three different resolutions: HI-REZ, MID-REZ, and LOW-REZ. The high-res pictures look stunning, with the newer ones sporting a mammoth resolution of 3264x4896 pixels! The low-res option is no slouch, either, with its 800x1200 pixels. Hell, that could pass for mid, even high-res on other sites. I'm normally not a big fan of low resolution options. I usually find them quite useless. In this case, however, I'm willing to make an exception, as it truly is a matter of necessity here. Even my fairly high-speed connection, the larger images took a few seconds to load. But if you're on dial-up, that's not to say that I don't recommend you forgo the low and mid options, anyway. It's well worth the wait; you can see every detail, every nook and cranny, on these girls. The images are so clear and vivid, in fact, that it's almost like having these Goddesses right there with you, in your own home, just inches from your face.
Met Models, believe it or not, doesn't limit itself with still photography. There's also a movies section. Although I'm sad to report that it has not been updated in nearly three years. As crazy as it might sound, I'm inclined to let that slide. I mean, video is obviously not their main focus, and it was only mentioned in passing in the tour(a promise of HD Quality movies).
There are 34 videos in total, and I like to think of them more as a bonus, a proverbial cherry on top of an exquisite photo section that was already sickly sweet to begin with. Plus, they're offered in nice variety of bandwidth-friendly formats: AVI, Quicktime, MPG, and WMV. Obviously the DiVX, MPG, and QuickTime formats are the highest quality, with a latter leading by an extremely wide margin. However, and contrary to what's recommended on the site, the bottom rung of the formats aren't the fastest to download. I found, on average, the WMVs outweighed the DiVX files by 100 megabytes. So, if your internet connection resembles that of a Snail more than a Cheetah, fret not — your handicap is irrelevant here.
The videos, not unlike the still photography, were shot with an obviously trained hand. Though the camera work seems to be mostly handheld, it's done so masterfully that you barely notice. The editing, also, was quite good. They've managed to condense great amounts of footage without making it obvious, which is mostly achieved with their plentiful use of dissolves and simple continuity editing. Simple but effective.
