Naughty Americans

Naughty Americans deserves bonus points for tour transparency. Once logged in, I was greeted with a members' area nearly identical to that of the tour page, save for the obvious differences, of course. I also have to commend them for pulling off a great balancing act with their layout. The page sports a very minimalistic, user-friendly design, but, at the same time, it's sleek and modern; beneath a menu containing only the bare necessities, there's a lovely newsfeed that flashes the latest steamy headlines. And, for those who'd rather be spared the constant barrage of scrolling text, they've included a handy pause button as well. Another sweet little touch are the links they've included on the sidebar, giving quick access to the latest models, the hottest stories, and the four highest rated videos.

What really caught my eye, though, was the babes. There's twenty of them, altogether, and not one amongst them who I'd rather below an 8. You'll probably recognize most of these ladies, too, because they're all top flight porn stars — Aubrey James, Holly Brooks, and Macy Cartel, just to name a few. Fitting with their amateur, leaked video theme, they've wisely went with gals who are young, fit, and in no need of heavy makeup, silicon or botox. But taking into account that tastes vary, they were good enough to include a nice even mixture of innocent, girl-next-door types and more wild and rebellious, tattooed party animals.

So far as the action goes, it falls in line well with what your average leaked sex tape. The most common scenario is some young buck surprisingly his girlfriend by sticking a camera in her face, coercing her into sex, and catching getting every second of it on film — you know, for posterity. They do occasionally drift from this formula, though. Sometimes it's a girlfriend out for revenge, fucking a stranger and recording for her poor man's benefit. Other times it's just your typical naive teen filming herself masturbating, thinking no one will ever see it. And how could they not try the old hidden camera gag? My favorite, though, was a couple who decided to get even with the landlord who evicted them by fucking one last time in their apartment. How this constitutes revenge is beyond me, but it was hot as fuck, nonetheless.

They've went really far to give the scenes a natural feel. Watching them, you can't help but get the feeling these scenes aren't really scripted, instead allowing the performers to improvise around a very loose plot idea, ala The Blair Witch Project. Obviously, these aren't seasoned actors, but all things considered, they've done a fine job at making things convincing. It's also worth noting that a great many of these videos have large portions that are shot in P.O.V., giving the site crossover appeal. And, of course, the crystal clear quality — not to mention the positively stunning models — gives them a decided advantage over most legitimate amateur footage.

Speaking of quality, every scene can be streamed in your choice of 480p, 720p, and 1080p high definition quality. I encountered zero in the way of buffering issues, and found download speeds to be, on average, just under 2 megabytes-per-second. Unfortunately, though, they've provided no easy to download the scenes, outside of some sort of plugin or program that captures streaming video, which I'm sure they'd frown upon. This is a shame, too, because these videos are quite nice. Certainly worthy of adding to ones' personal collection.

I encountered a similar problem with their photo galleries. Each video is accompanied by a set of 80 or more high-res shots. But unless you plan to download them individually, or use some sort of download manager, you're shit out of luck for snagging a set in its entirety. What a shame.

But the most disappointing thing about the site is its overall lack of content. As I write this, there's only 64 scenes and galleries. In their defense, this isn't for lack of activity. Since the site's debut on November 21, 2012, they've faithfully added a new update every week. Either way, there's just not enough content here yet to justify the current price-tag. Unless, of course, you're a uber fan of one of their models. Otherwise, you'd be better off giving them time to grow.

This wouldn't be such a terrible thing if there were some bonus content to enjoy while they work on populating the site with new videos, but there is none outside of the site news I was mentioning earlier. On the bright side, if you're into erotica, you should enjoy these "articles," which are first-person accounts of debauched conquests, usually somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-1,200 words. My personal favorite was the one about a Craigslist encounter gone terribly right.
