The members' area here is about as straight-forward as it gets. There's a menu at the top of the page, and it, for the most part, sticks to the bare necessities: videos, pictures, a model index, a blog. The rest of the page is filled out with links to the latest updates, as well as some previews of upcoming sessions. Content can also be broken down using a list of 12 different kinks. For the most part, this works out well. Admittedly, some categories, like "caning" and "bondage" practically generate the whole archive, but others, like "Female Tops," will yield fewer(35) but more unique results.

But that's the real hook, isn't it? After all, on their tour page they promised "original home grown BDSM" and "real people in the alternative leather community." Well, it was easy enough to take a look at the model index and see for myself. So I did. At the moment, they've got 106 models, each with their own page detailing everything from their breast size to a laundry list of their own personal turn-ons — sort of like the ones in Playboy or Hustler, but more demented .... I have to admit that I didn't really recognize any of these gals, and I have no doubt that they're likely mostly amateurs.

The claims of real bondage were just as easy to verify. I actually spent quite some time scrutinizing a sizable portion of their archive -- as much as humanly possible, anyway. As it turns out, they've been at this for some time(updates go back over a decade), so they've had plenty of time to not only hone their craft but also build up one heck of an archive in the process. And they're just getting started, too ....

Currently the site's taking on a fairly diverse mix of ladies — from barely legals to bored, horny MILFs — and, likewise, submitting them to a mixture of punishments. Sometimes it's just a simple spanking, but some girls need more ... a lot more. And it's those cases where Paintoy really shines. I particularly enjoyed their take on tittie torture which, at times, was enough to make me turn my head and wince. I also thought it was a nice touch that the cameras rolled for a bit after the session was over, allowing us to get a good view of the very real welts and lacerations that, in some of the more severe cases, covered these babes practically from head-to-toe.

Their high number of galleries is definitely one of the site's most impressive points. By my count there's 1540 galleries here, dating all the way back to June of '02. There's 1540 movies here, too, and they add new clips and sets, at minimum, once every 2-3 days. The galleries, though, definitely caught my eye due to their high numbers, so they ended up catching all of my early attention. And I have to admit, they've done a fine job of capturing all the best moments — from the girls just coming in, smiling naively, to the moment of truth: them lying on the floor, their buttocks red and swollen, and that sweet mixture of agony and lust in their eyes. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that they're, for the most part, well lit. Not to mention available in a nice resolution size(2,000 x 1,328 pixels) on the newer updates.

But as sweet as their still photography is, for many, nothing quite beats live action. An understandable point of view — especially since the video here features all those lovely sights and sounds we associate with true balls-to-the-wall BDSM pornography. Hell, I just finished watching one where a young redhead is relentlessly caned, creating some surprisingly loud thwacks as that bamboo drove home into that tender white flesh. And just as promised on the tour, the camera — aside from a little panning from left-to-right or vice versa — remained stationary, and the footage is totally raw and unedited.

This is done in an attempt to rule out any trickery, to show that the girls really are being legitimately roughed up. On that point it succeeds; however, in combination with a few other factors — the photographer loudly doing his thing in the background, the less than perfect audio, the "rough" surroundings etc — makes for footage that is, well, a bit "gritty." Personally, I prefer this with my bondage porn. It just cements the creepy atmosphere. In their defense, though, the latest scenes are available in a nice looking 720p.

On the other hand, I'm not a fan of the way they've laid out their scenes. A lot of the time a half hour or longer session is broken down into a series of 10 minute clips. Worse yet, they're offered in a lone format and resolution, which remains a mystery until you've actually downloaded the file since, sadly, they're not labeled. A more minor flaw is that that since this site's content goes so far back(mid-2002) there's, quite naturally, going to be some lower quality material the farther back you go. This shows with the videos particularly, as the earliest updates come in an SD Windows Media file with a 360x240 resolution. Thankfully, they've since moved on to a good looking 720p file.
