Southern Strokes

Southern Strokes is a new site but one which shows great promise. That sounds like my school report card! It has a clean and simple design with good sized text and images, good viewing options and quick to load pages. There is something about this site that says ‘quality rather than quantity’ and it could certainly do with more of what it already has. It knows its niche and it’s not a huge one - hunks from the South of North America - and in time, with more content added, it should grow to become something very special. My advice is to be there at the start of it and watch it grow, adding more college boy, sporty, boy next door talent to your collection.

There are twelve guys on the site so far each with his own solo video. (And there is one duo video where two of these boys get together.) The movies start with a short chat, an interview with the boy who is about to perform for you; a nice way of getting to know the men. The quality of the filming is great, someone here knows what they are doing, the image is clear and you can easily hear what each of the models is saying. There are some interesting confessions in here; ‘the strangest place I've ever jacked off was in a church.’ ‘I’m doing this ‘cos I want to be a porn star and earn lots of money.’ You also get to hear that sexy Southern accent too and by the time the ‘show’ starts you feel like you know these boys well. You can watch the videos as a stream simply by clicking the easy to find link or you can download the file in two kinds of player and two qualities.

Each of the video pages also contains the photos and again the site has gone for quality rather than quantity with twenty of so images per set. These open up to a good size, 874 x 1,310 and, like the videos, are clear and good quality. There are no video caps here only good digital images showing you the best parts of the video shoot, which means you don’t have hundreds of pictures that are all the same. A zip file download would be a good addition to the galleries as would navigation from one full size image to the next: it’s open and close, open and close at the moment.

Once you've soaked up enough Southern heat you can check out what’s going on, what’s coming next and what’s been added to the site in the Stroker’s Lounge. This takes the form of a blog and members can post comments. There were only three updates when I called in (because the site is so new) but it’s a good looking page and easy to use so there is no reason why you can’t get interactive.

And that’s it for the site as it stands right now. You have the same text as you saw on the tour, telling you about each of the boys, but no other frills or thrills. There are no empty promises of ‘Live Shows’ and ‘Chat’, no feed sites cluttering things up and no bonus sites. It’s like one of the boys themselves: pure and simple. No, I don’t really mean that, these guys aren’t simple they are talented, hunky, spunky and have great bodies. Check ‘em out.
