I'm pretty sure that TLA Gay used to come with a whole string of payment options because there was a VOD section as its main video viewing hub. Now, you simply sign-up for a month or more like any other gay hardcore site and you don't need to worry about how much each video will cost you to run. The thing to remember is that this is streaming only content, but with so much to view, and with movies ready for mobile viewing as well as desktop, you've got plenty to get through, and it comes in at a decent price.

To start you off, you will see updates on the homepage and a menu that lets you view whole DVDs or videos (as some scenes have been transferred from tape) and also the individual scenes. I noted that they had uploaded over 1,000 scenes in the last month bringing today's total to 122086 videos taken from 10,800 full-length DVDs. And yes, you did read that right, over 10k complete porn videos each with its own number of scenes. There are no galleries here and not a lot of info, so we're really concentrating on viewing and, with a standard and a lower-resolution stream per scene at least, it's an easy thing to do.

As for viewing, well, it can be rather limited. I checked out the 34 scenes that had been added the day before my visit - yes, 34 in one day - and found that these were presented the same way as the ones added years ago. There's a stream screen sized at 1,000 x 563 which you click to start the video. The player comes with an auto-detect function, so the site finds the best speed for you, but I was also able to run the modern scene-streams at 1,920 x 1,080 HD, 720p, 480p, 360p and 240p with a choice of speeds. You can run them up to eight times faster than normal which does look a bit odd but helps you skip through. The quality was fine, it varies according to age and resolution, but you're looking at well made, DVD release standards and higher gay hardcore, so that's all fine.

But where are these scenes from and are they any good? Well, I have to say that some of the older ones were a bit grainy when viewing. Mind you, they date back to the 1980s and come from videos, and some may even be earlier, but there are also up to date studios and videos here. You can find contributions from Cum Pig Men, a site/company that's only been around a few years, and also from Magnus Muscle, Boy Fun, William Higgins (which could be from the 80s or from last week as William is still producing high-quality porn), from Cocky Boyz, Hot Dads Hot Lads, Tyler's Room, Eromaxx and Kristen Bjorn Videos - and those are only some of the ones I recognised in the list of 368 studios.

As for the lesser known and smaller studios, you get some exciting and obscure, but still good quality, titles. Banjee Boy Studios, Ebony Video International, Street Boys, Southern Bareback Inc and Fantasy Boys were a few I explored with relish because they were new to me. I could go on with the list, but the point is, there are top sites and smaller ones here, and they each offer a huge amount of variety.
