Hairy Boyz

There are plenty of sites that feature hairless twinks and shaved muscle men, so it’s nice to come across Hairy Boyz, a site that features masculine gay men with hair growing everywhere, tattoos, and ready cocks.

Okay…I hate to start off a review with a complaint, but I couldn’t find the freaking “Members” button to login. The tour is filled with images of hairy guys, but there’s so much going on that the members button gets lost in all the graphical overload. Plus, there isn’t a “members” text link at the bottom of the page (present on most sites) so it was even more of a clusterfuck. Finally, I looked deep into the ass-pumping group sex graphic on the far right, dropped my eyes a bit to the entirely too small button below and I was in like Flynn.

Once you get inside the site, things are a little easier to navigate. The latest releases, most popular updates (decided by member votes), and upcoming features are all easily accessible right there on the first page.

There are currently 7 pages each of photos and videos. The number of photos varies from set to set. Some may have 60 while others may have 160. The photo section contains pictures of hairy men alone as well as hairy hardcore photos. The photos are not the biggest I’ve seen, but are fairly large and high resolution at 497x747 (or 747x497) pixels in size. There are solo photos as well as hardcore photos taken from the video shoot. Hairy Boyz doesn’t discriminate. They do an excellent job at making sure their videos are watchable by those on any connection speed — even you Luddites still on dial-up (I kid, I kid). There are four versions of each streaming video — 38k (perfect for dial-up users), 180k, 300k, and 700k. There is also a downloadable version which is available only at 700k in Windows Media Player (.wmv) format. What does that mean for all of you Macophiles? Unfortunately, Mac users will not be able to download videos — only stream them. In the interest of full disclosure, they do mention this on the tour pages so that you can choose to join or not join. You can watch any video at full-screen, and even then, they have great clarity.

The pics are nice, but the video section is really where Hairy Boyz shines. Many of these videos are group sex scenes worthy of the naughtiest bathhouse. There are too many videos to watch them all, but all of the scenes I saw were condom-only…which is fine with me. Bareback scenes can be hot, but I’d rather see some safe sex than watch a video and worry about whether the actors were putting themselves at risk.

So are these guys all truly “hairy”? Here’s the easy answer — some are and some aren’t. Most of the guys have beards, some chest hair, and are slightly trimmed rather than letting their hair go completely wild. Sometimes, you will find a hairy guy paired up with a smooth shaven (or waxed) guy. All of the guys give off a very masculine vibe, and even the guys that bottom out are manly men with tattoos and muscles — bad boy bottoms.

In addition to the photos and videos, you will also find a collection of erotic stories and gay toons. There are stories about jail sex, bathhouse encounters, and yes…even gay cowboys. The toons are fairly well-drawn but only come in black and white. I would love to see them add some color toons to the mix.
