Bulldog XXX

Café Presse is the company that has signed up 34 different porn studios to take part in one site. There's no name for the combined network as such, each company or producer has their own 'theatre' within the members' area, so here, we have Bulldog XXX, and with access to that collection comes access to the 33 others in the network. You buy tickets and spend them to stream and download, but there is also a recurring monthly membership on offer – we will get to all of that later. First, here's what you will find when you log in.

You will find exactly what you see on the tour as the pages are one and the same thing. You register for free and then explore, seeing what's on offer, searching all 34 collections, or just looking at the one, and when you see a scene that interests you, click through, opt to stream/download, use your credits and there you are. Now then, you've got a load of choices to make as there are 288 scenes at this one site alone and over 18,600 in the full collection. But Bulldog is known for a certain kind of porn. They employ amateur lads and older guys, some who have done porn before but many who haven't. You will find a good mix of chavs and lads, rough guys, skaters, tattooed wanderers, skinny boys and men in their 20s from all walks of life and with all kinds of sexy British accents. You can find them in a model index where there are 114 guys currently showing.

The porn is all about fit and big-dicked tops and dick-hungry bottoms who like to be tied up and treated mean. There's a certain amount of mild fetish with chains and leather, dungeons and prison cells, masked men, gloryholes and rimming, and an atmosphere of late-night sleaze clubs, dungeon bars and the seedier London leather scene. The movies are well made, and decent quality and the guys are into what they're doing, so it all comes across as natural, and that enhances the heat.

Scroll the index pages and you will see large sample shots from the scene and a description to whet your appetite. Then, you have the option of streaming or downloading, and this is where you start to pay with your pre-paid credits. Streams range in price from four to six tickets (as the site calls them), though in other areas, you can find older scenes for as little as two. Downloads tend to cost around eight to 10 tickets, though you can also find full-length DVDs for more, then they will have five or six scenes in one download. You can't waste your money as there is a check each time to go to press to spend, and you are asked if you are sure. Prices compare well to other PPV theatres; in fact, they are probably cheaper here.

Movies are shown in streams at 1,088 x 612, though older scenes may be smaller, and downloads are in Mp4 and range in resolutions from 852 x 480 to 1,920 x 1,080 HD, depending on age. There are no restrictions, files transfer quickly enough, and playback is fine. Although smaller, older movies don't survive so well at full screen, they are all perfectly watchable. There are no image galleries, but there are six large shots from the action that can't be saved, and the description. Similarly, as this is purely PPV, get off and move on, there are no interactive functions like rates and comments.

As for those other theatres, there are loads of European producers here, more sleaze sex and plenty of variety. You've got studios such as Wurstfilm from Germany, MenoBoy and others from France, Jalif Studios for hung and dark Spanish guys, and Universal Black for Blatinos. There are also Arabian guys, soldiers, sailors and skater boys, twinks (a Cadinot collection is included), and Brazilians. It's a good mix with nearly 19,000 scenes from 1,476 full-length DVDs. Navigation is simple enough, but I would have liked more search and sort options. There's a page of tags with 15 headings (hairy men, socks and sneakers, bondage and BDSM included), and these help filtering, but I wasn't able to find a network-wide category system to use.
