With a name as non-descript, and, consequently, all encompassing as VR Porn, I went in expecting a treasure trove of immersive carnal delights. A thorough examination of their archives, which are made up of some 5-odd-years content, did nothing to dispel that notion. The smorgasbord of sin started with 16 main niches covering the major themes and fetishes. It became quickly apparent that those with more deviant desires would be better served exploring the additional 113 categories, which, I might add, includes real gems like Old/Young and Pissing.

This wide range in kinks and styles utilized here are at least partially attributable to the over 128 studios they have under their thumb. In addition to the expected proven commodities like 18 VR and BaDoink VR, they put the spotlight on lesser known but promising young studios, occasionally unearthing exciting new fetish content in the process. Win-win!

Either way, this constant seismic shift in tone and fetish grounded in that rock-solid P.O.V. style makes for a virtual reality experience that is not only immersive but exciting to boot. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that these studios seem to have a never-ending supply of hot porn stars, all apparently schooled in the intricacies of top-tier P.O.V. virtual reality scenes.

And all that is before you've even gotten to the good stuff. The free area may be where the experiment started, but the Premium Area is where it's been honed to perfection. Only 43 studios made the grade, and unlike the main archive, this area houses a lean, mean 10703 scenes available in far superior formats.

It also seems to have more than its fair share of the wilder, more eye-catching content. Don't even get me started on all of the wacky sets, costumes, and that essential cinematic flair and ingenuity that are necessary for navigating us through a virtual ménage à trois or orgy; the cast and crew all moving in unison, partners being swapped out at carefully timed intervals, bodies being situated just so allowing for maximum hot viewing angles. It is easy to take these things for granted, but they're all absolutely essential to maintaining that lovely illusion.

Most of these movies have nice framerates and at least a 180º radius. I did extensive testing of the different brands, always feeling suitably immersed and able to take in my surroundings or get nice side-boob and ass views when I see fit.

On a side-note, I couldn't help but notice the recent influx of CGI and hentai scenes. That Overwatch orgy is picking up quite a few views already. Signs of things to come?

They've included formats for all the major headset manufacturers since day one. In fact, they recently upped the ante with the addition of a new Oculus Go format, bringing themselves up to 7 formats but still maintaining compatibility with all the major brands. Alas, it seems the folks in the streaming video department weren't so fortunate, as the embedded player is limited to just your pedestrian "Standard" and "HD" options.

As much as you may want to focus on quality control, the occasional hiccup is inevitable when dealing with over 40 different studios. I ran into a few duds, even a couple of scenes shot from angles so alarmingly off-kilter that you have to question the cinematographer's sanity — in one particularly egregious case I experienced a mild form of vertigo. These were the exceptions, however, and I can personally attest to the uniformly high level of quality found in these archives.

Running times on these premium clips are all over the place, but expect a minimum of 25-45 minutes. Some run as long as 2 hours, though, so you may want to pace yourself. Fortunately, most clips fall more into sort of a happy medium territory, orbiting somewhere between a half-hour to thirty-five minutes.

I have to admit, the layout could do with a upgrade. Don't get me wrong: they did a great job with all the filters and browse-tools, but I think they might have overlooked some of the less pressing but equally vital aspects of the browsing experience. For instance, simply attaching more technical information and better timestamps to the updates would do wonders. And would it kill them to add bios to their model pages?

My greatest concern, however, was that there just wasn't nearly as much content here as I had anticipated. This, combined a total lack of timestamps or any form of update calendar, doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Admittedly, I can verify that they have posted updates the last few months by checking the 4 links under "new on premium," but it ought to be a lot easier and a lot more intricate than that.
