With Marcello

Marcello and I have something in common (and I never thought I’d say that about me and a porn star). We both started off in our online careers at around the same time. His site was just starting when I reviewed it as my first ever gay site review. And there the similarity between us ends.

But I have had an interest in his career because of it and it’s great to be able to call back into his site after all these years and have a look at how it is going. Being impartial though, I found it just as easy to use, with some horny entertainment, and still as simple and almost amateur in design as it was before. In fact it’s probably exactly the same, but that’s not a bad thing.

You start off at the With Marcello home page where the recent updates are shown, that’s kind of standard in adult sites. And what he does here is list all his videos and galleries down the page and across numbered index pages, so it is very easy to get to the content. Or you can use the top menu where you find his hardcore and solo work separated out. I started by checking the video content of the most recent update. Unusually for membership sites, there was no streaming here, I had to download a WMV file in order to view the movie and the transfer rate was a bit on the slow side for me at around 137 kbps. The more up to date movies come in resolutions of 2,000 kbps @ 720 x 576, which is kind of mid-range I’d say. They looked fine though and went full screen with no problem.

While waiting for the video to download I checked out the photo quality and found I was able to view images online or take zip file downloads. The thumbnail galleries were very basic, simply rows of small images and no info or interactive options. Clicking the first image brought the enlargement with good navigation options, though no slideshows, and images were at 800 x 533 in size. They were clear enough and there’s no problem with the quality, though they are quite small by today’s standards. You also have to back-button out of galleries to the main pages, so if you've seen all the images you've got a lot of clicking back to do. I did wonder about the quality of the earlier content and so went back to the very first gallery and found images at 600 x 400, and movies at 1,200 kbps @ 640 x 480. You’re mainly looking at Marcello in these movies, with some straightforward solos, but there are some movies directed by him and featuring other models. And there are some nicely kinky feet and socks, costume and bondage scenes as well. You really need to start at the top of page one and browse down the good sample shots and read the decent descriptions to see the full variety.
