Once logged in I felt like a kid in a candy store, feasting my eyes on the cover art of dozen of titles. I really dug the fact that they had a nice selection of their primo stuff up front, dubbed "Webmaster's choice." I don't know who this webmaster is, but he has great taste — and twisted, too. Speaking of numbers, they weren't kidding on their tour page. At the time of this review there are 15117 titles to choose from at My HD JAV. . And with many of these babies having running times of more than 3 hours, I would say that their promise of 13 terabytes is, if anything, an understatement. So, it's the motherload Japanese porno you are after, look no further, my friend.

Titles can be browsed by studio, series, or niche tag. There are only 14 niche tags at the moment, which honestly doesn't seem to be enough considering all the different kinks I have seen covered in these scenes. Nevertheless, getting around the site is an easy task.

The video pages contain a lot of information, including running times, formats, and a list of general sex acts you can expect to see in a given movie. Since most of these flicks are close to the 3 hour mark, they have chosen to forgo streaming, which is understandable. What I didn't quite understand, however, was the fact that they chose to only go with one video format: 1080p MKVs. This is consistent from the beginning to the end of the archive.

On the bright side, download speeds are lightning fast, averaging 4 meg-per-second. I should note, however, that a few times during the weekend I ran into 600 kilobyte-per-second downloads. I can only assume this was a fluke or that the site was experiencing a tremendous traffic overload.

Speaking of downloads, I was saddened to find that the site has a daily download cap of 200 gigabytes. But given the the length of these scenes, I'm guessing 200 gigs is more than most users can possibly watch during the course of any given day, anyway.

As I mentioned earlier, these are authentic Japanese flicks. And while that means you get all the weird hotness that Japanese porno is known for, you also get some of the drawbacks, too. Namely the censorship of genitals. Also, I hope you have been brushing up on your Japanese lately, because none of the movies I downloaded had subtitles.

One other minor issue I found was that the site's layout is a bit on the simplistic side — particularly for one with such a massive archive. As mentioned before, there are only 14 niche tags listed on the sidebar, and that doesn't make a whole hell of a lot of sense seeing as how we are dealing with over 2,300 feature length films. Also, there is really nothing in the way of advanced browse-tools. Not even a search engine.
