Private Classics

Much as the earlier issues of the magazine, the layout at Private Classics is lean and to the point. Situated in the top, right-hand corner of the page, just below the site's moniker, you'll your content menu, which is simple "pick your decade" type of affair. There's another menu as well, but it's mostly filled with useless offerings like a dating site and links for purchasing trial memberships of other sites.

Directly below you'll find links to the latest updates, an option to browse content by magazine, and a well written but brief history of smut of different eras. I've got to say, I like the way the content is laid out and organized, but I think they should have capitalized more on their vintage concept and went with a more retro motif. Nonetheless, finding your way around the site is a breeze.

As far as the number of magazines you're given access to, there's only twelve scans from the '60s, twenty-seven from the '70s, and thirty from the '80s. I was pretty bummed out at the number of magazines they had here to represent the 1960s and 1970s. Fortunately, the latest batch of updates had plenty of '70s material, so I guess they're just in the process of scanning and uploading. Perhaps they thought their later material more appropriate for the earlier updates.

Judging by what's been uploaded so far, I'd venture to guess this magazine must have been a hit. A lot of what I'm seeing here was quite racy for the times, the kind of stuff you'd take a lot of heat for publishing. The women that grace the pages are beautiful, and, unlike most you see these days, curvy and voluptuous creatures. The '60s and even the '70s issues are great for those of you into natural gals. Although I also don't recall seeing any obvious breast implants in the '80s section. I was kind of let down that that all the magazine text, save the cover, is in German. I know it seems silly, but in my youth back when I actually read, even subscribed to these things, I was one of those individuals who enjoyed reading his smut magazines as well as jerking off to them.

Aside from the magazines, each decade has twenty or so galleries of miscellaneous photos. I'm not sure if these were just leftovers that were dubbed not good enough to make it into the magazine or what, but I think they look fantastic. Just as with the pictures plastered about in the magazine, these are well shot and raunchy as hell. As we I write this I'm admiring a shot of a twenty-something punk rocker getting her snatch chowed on by a woman who could pass for her mother. And like any magazine that was sought after back in the day, there are tons of mouth-watering spread shots. I'm telling you, these babes are spread so wide you get a great view of all their internal organs. Must have viewing material for any anatomy class.

Resolutions vary here quite a bit. However, they never went below the minimum size listed on the site. I saw some as big as 5,000 pixels in width. There was one aesthetic issue, though it only pops up from time to time. I don't know if it's the printing method, the scanner, or some sort of post scan editing that's caused this, but some of the photos look blown-up and fuzzy. It doesn't really seem more common in one decade than the other. The only common trend I can see is that it's most consistent with the larger resolution pictures. Let's hope they resolve this sometime in the near future.

In addition to the three bonus magazines, which cover the '90s and beyond, you're also given a free porn-related app for your smartphone, and access to a game called 'Private Villa 3D,' which, as far as I can tell, is like a porno version of Second Life that specializes in cyber sex. I can't vouch for either of these, but they do sound interesting. If you're a cam freak, you might also want to check out the "Live" button on the top menu.
