This is gotten old. Site after site is disappointing. I want photos mostly, but an occasional video is nice to download. And I want those photos to be straight vertically, and edited (a zip of the whole shoot, complete with the loser shots?), and the site to be most easy to navigate. PornInspector and other review sites don't tell me what I want to know. How many photo sets is fine. How many videos and what format is fine. But I want to hear "the photosets are edited" and the backgrounds are not distracting nor are the photos tilted because teh photographer doesn't know his craft. I don't want tilted photos. I don't want hand held video shoots. I don't want flat lighting with the lights blasting full force from the camera's position. I want good photos with decent lighting (3 lights, so that drama is created). Photography is an art. Porn is not an art. That's because the photographers don't: 1. Light their subject(s) correctly. 2. Hold the camera straight. 3. Hold the camera steady (use a damn tripod, eh?) About #3. Do you see TV or movies where the camera is constantly moving and even TWISTING? NO! Then why is this allowed in porn? I"m paying for photos. I want good photos! Hold the camera still. Set it on the tripod. Let the gal move around, and DON'T MOVE THE CAMERA! If this is done, then you end up with the background stationary, and the person(s) moving in their environment, JUST LIKE YOU SEE ON TV OR IN LEGITIMATE MOVIES. About #1. No Hollywood film is shot indoors with the light on the camera. The result is flat lighting. No, no no! Set up your lights then tell the actress where the limits of moving in the view still keeps the lght 3 dimentional. Mark that space on the floor. Tell her where she is allowed to move, and DON'T MOVE THE CAMERA. Hold it STILL! If you must move the camera, build yourself dolly tracks. Move that camera along the dolly, at the same height, with the same lighting, and don't twist the fuckin' camera! Keep it the same height, of make it move gracefully in height and keep the camera level! I spend hours tossing out photos from a shoot, then more hours correcting photos that need to be twisted level. MONTHS from one month of collecting. That's a lotta time doing work that the site or photographer or a crew could be doing. I'm tired of paying for shoots that are fucked up and then I have to fix the shoot! I'm sick and tired of all this work!! I know others are too. What one needs to make a decent shoot: 1. a level camera in all photos. No twisting. No bending. HOLD IT STILL. Keep it the same height. Use a damn tripod! 2. Three lights: The main (soft, usually), then two side lights to create dimension. Allow the gal to move within a radius of those lights, but keep the damn camera still. The people move. The camera rarely does in indoor scenes in TV or Movies, and if it does, the camera is held 90 degrees from the floor in all directions. If you want both portrait shots and landscape shots, put a leveler on the camera mount. When you change the camera from one orientation to another, there are stops that keep that camera level! LEVEL! I'm tired of editing photos. I'm tired of tossing out the unlevel ones, and re-aligning ones that can be saved. I'm tired of doing the work that the website should be doing! HAND HELD IS DEAD! FLAT LIGHTING SUCKS! NO STORYLINE? Fuck off! About storylines. THink ahead. Plan. That's what real story telling is. THere's a beginning, a middle and an end. Sketch it and talk to the gal(s) about the story you're going to shoot. Over 50% of the time THERE IS NO ENDING! You're left hanging. THe photographer filled up his memory card! Frankly, we usually get to meet a gal, then watch her take off her clothes, then see various twisted camera shots and no ending! No ending at all! How about this scenario? We meet a gal, she's undressed already, she poses and does whatever, then puts on her clothes and leaves with a goodbye kiss. We rarely see this. Likewise we rarely see action in 3 lights, with wall corners twisted in the background, and paintings on the wall NOT LEVEL. Now, about the reviews. It's the review site's job to tell us we're getting good product or middlin' product or just plain crap! I really don't care that a site has photos, and each one has approx 100 in a set. I know from experience that 40%-60% of those will be tossed of edited. I want 40-50 pictures per set, and already edited. I want GOOD PRODUCT. I could care less about quantity! I want QUALITY! Award stars to a site on it's end product, not it's sheer quantity! And navigation should be very easy. Got a gal? Okay, then list her in a search list, and when you find her, have links to all of her shoots from that one spot. PLAN AHEAD. Make the user experience easy. Make her solos link from her bio. Make her lez shoots link from her bio. Let all shoots have a description to alert the user to what he'll find at the other end of the link. For search terms, use age, hair color. body style (thin-normal-chubby), age EVERY SHOOT, and setting -- where the action takes place. Is it a kitchen? Is it in a bathroom? Is it in the living room? Is it in a pit full of crocodiles (now there's an idea)? And then Porninspector's review will tell us if the people at pornsite X is doing a great job, or it's just a bunch of crappy content. Oh! One other thing. Is the site's name stamp on the images too distracting? If so, I don't want to find out the hard way. This industry has SO FAR TO GO, yet in over 30 years of visiting [porn sites, I'm constantly being disappointed. Nothing has changed except the size of the images. The photograpy most often uses a single light which is flat and un-artsy. THen he always ends a shoot with NO LOGICAL ENDING! Come on! Take it to the next level! Shoot like a real studio does. Plan the action and stick to the script. And always say bye bye. I don't care if it's gonzo or sleepy... the story is always the same -- Hand held artistry, unedited, un-refined, and it ends up nowhere! Make this stop. Make porn better. It can be far better! However, nothing has changed since the '90s. There's lovely girls in sleazy rooms, with flat lighting, and tilted cameras again, and again and again. Or the phoography is done right, and the photos are not action -- they're merely collections of soft porn. Get it right eh? Be more demanding. And when you leave a site, tell the owners why. Never be afraid to say "NOT professional enough".
