Genuine Features

If I understood the tour correctly, Genuine Features sets out to provide its members with footage and photographs of pros and amateurs alike in "unusually hot 'outside-the-acting' contexts." Well, I'm pleased to report that that's precisely what I found whilst browsing the tour page. A mixture of "backstage" footage, screen tests, and on-set partying makes up one of the most compelling archives of smut I've had the pleasure of browsing in some time. It's always nice to see these girls with their guard down — to put a dash no porno voices or "faking it." And as it turns out, some of these babes are genuine nymphomaniacs, evidenced by the aforementioned clip of the drunken porno star sucking off one lucky camera operator. Fortunately, there's many similar clips on the site as well.

Also, when you're dealing with a collection that spans nearly two decades you will, naturally, be treated to some debauchery of the "retro" variety, which is a nice bonus in and of itself — to put a dash especially when it involves now big name making their debut, But even if you're a big fan of porn and porn stars, it's also kind of cool to see some current big names when they were complete and utter greenhorns. Don't be me wrong, though, I love seeing the things amateurs say before going on set. Because let's face it, it's all that much hotter if you know she's really having those feelings of doubt and shame you secretly fantasized about all those casting couch audition sluts having. Or is that just me?

Speaking of naive young pieces of ass, I have to say that Antony has discriminating taste, if he is in fact the one picking what footage makes it to the site. Because, in addition to providing us with some exciting footage, he also seems to make sure the ladies contained within are always top-shelf in their given bracket — to put a dash be it girl-next-door, glam model, or high-paid porn star. Perhaps it's a coincidence, but no matter the cause, it's like the icing on the cake.

One of my favorites was seeing a young "actress" who didn't seem to be into the whole "lesbian thing." After a few drinks before the shoot, however, she had warmed up enough to the idea to eat out a MILF. Hey, works for me. And while we're on the subject of lesbians, I seem to remember a just-turned-18 gal who, at the last minute, asked to do a scene with a girl instead of a guy, wanting to act out on an apparently long repressed fantasy.

Unfortunately, as original as this premise is, and as many loads as I've pumped out thanks to Mr. Flipp dishing out such fantastic dirt, I still can't help but notice this site has a few flaws. The first that really jumped out at me was the navigation. The site's layout is in desperate need of more browse-tools. Making your way to the earliest episode takes dozens of clicks, which made getting an accurate count tedious. But something like that could drive the average member bat-shit insane, too. And the lack of a model index, though perhaps understandable under these circumstances, is still saddening, nonetheless. But navigational hiccups aside I can let slide. What's harder to accept, however, is their lack of video and picture resolution options.

In fact, photo galleries in general are few and far between, and low on image counts on those rare occasions they do pop up — to put a dash not to mention resolution size(s), and viewing/downloading options in general. In a nutshell, they're not much different from their video brethren(aside from the obvious number disparity) in that they are clear, crisp, well lit, and offered in a wholly inadequate resolution. How bittersweet.

Videos aren't much better off. Admittedly, play-back quality is pretty clear and crisp on most of the scenes, and since these are mostly shot on porn sets with professional gear, the lighting and sound is excellent, too. What's not so hot, though, is that you only have one resolution choice for streaming and downloading. Worse still, it's not even 720p or 1080p HD. Also, if you go far enough back into their archives, you'll find no streaming video available at all. On a more positive note, downloads were quite fast, topping out at 1.6 megs-per-second.
