TLA Video

There are three parts to TLA Video, and they all work in the same way but have different and very impressive numbers. It's not a membership site as such, as sign-up is free, but you then purchase titles that you want, or run trailers first, or go Video On Demand to buy a download, or rent on for a period of time. Prices match up well to other sites, but this one is stocked full and well maintained. It's also reasonable for rentals and offers delivery (check the terms and conditions to see if you're in a restricted area). So, telling you about it means I have to break from my usual chat and review format and look at things differently.

The Straight Selection For of all, let’s look at PopPorn, the straight sex part of the setup. Here I found over 1,400 DVDs for sale, 800 + studios offering content, and 7,600 + trailers for movies you can watch right now. To filter that lot, you're going to need a lot of categories and search functions, and you get them. The top menu divides things up further with DVDs to buy, On Demand, Sex Toys, the 'Skinema' and a Sales channel too.

The DVD area gives you various ways to find what's on sale, and prices hang around at $19.99 for a DVD and $22.99 for a Blu-ray, though they do go up to the more standard $46.00 + for a full DVD/Blu-ray (plus postage, though orders over $75.00 are free depending on where you are). You get all the details and studio info, cast lists and what you'd usually expect to find on a sales site. VOD prices also vary slightly but start around $5.99 for a two-day rental and go to $21.99 + for a permanent download. These are at 1,920 x 1,080 HD, and the quality throughout the offerings is fine. Again, there are category lists and also a list of studios with some hot producers offering movies to buy or rent. Reality Kings, Eromaxx, and various divisions of Evil Angel, for example, are all to be found in here.

The Gay Selection In this part of the site, which is easy to access and filter, you have the same excellent design and easy search functions, category and studio lists, plus the chance to buy, rent or go VOD. Studios here include Treasure Island Media. Bel Ami and TLA Releasing's own studio. It's fun to see 3 Bears Entertainment right next door to 20th Century Fox, and the site holds mainstream as well as adult gay movies.

Here I found hundreds of DVDs in both sections and well over 700 trailers to check out, 101 + new releases, and over 8,250 VOD scenes starring some top names in the biz, and coming from some of those top studios. There's so much choice you're grateful for the side lists and other handy browse tools. The trailer streaming here is the same as on PopPorn with small screens at 560 x 320 which run for about one minute each.

You're also able to search by price like on any good online store, and you can find many DVD for sale for under $10.00, and there's a sale section and one for used DVDs too. I should also add that when you come to the VOD area, you can top up your credits and viewing costs, on average $0.08 per minute, though prices vary. The screen was up to 1,140 x 640 and streamed with no breaks, and you can jump through the full DVD as there's a timeline marking scene changes, and also the scenes listed individually.
