Amour Angels

The first thing that came to mind upon logging in and seeing the membership page was my grandfather's secret stash of skin magazines. The row after row of links to recent updates, which were clearly designed to mimic magazine covers, that filled the page obviously were meant to do just that. But the dated archive links on the left-hand side of the page, organized by month and year, as well as the fact that the bulk of the recent updates seemed to be made up primarily of photo galleries, didn't do much to dispel that notion, either.

I also couldn't help but get the feel that, unlike the tripe my friends and I hid from our parents as teenagers, this site was designed to mimic far classier publications; the flawless, fresh faced and natural breasted young women staring back at me from my computer monitor surely would never stoop to posing for the crude, raunchy magazines I jerked off to as a child.

And indeed, the more I browsed their archives, enjoying their videos and photo galleries, I realized my initial suspicion was correct: this was a site focused exclusively on the female form, and the heights of glamour and beauty which it could reach. There was a strange amalgamation of innocence and sophistication bordering on "art" that simply doesn't exist in the nasty world of hardcore pornography. So, if you came here looking for full penetration, forget about it. If, on the other hand, you're after softcore that, instead of showcasing the usual big breasted, sophisticated older women, focuses on the flawless beauty and innocence of youth, look no further. You have arrived.

As I mentioned, the models here are young, all natural, and so far as I can tell, practically flawless. There's also a definite "type" of model here, a certain look and background a gal has to possess in order to join the ranks of the Amour Angels. One undeniable trend amongst these models is that almost without fail, they're all lily white, European gals — the bulk, in fact, seem to be Eastern European in origin. So, if you're looking for ethnic diversity, this isn't the site for you.

If, however, your ideal woman is very young, very petite, and in the possession of perky perfect little breasts, you'll no doubt feel as if you've arrived in a veritable Shangri-La. Oh, and I should also mention that it was quite easy to quickly ascertain the backgrounds and measurements of these little ladies, thanks to a very thorough and informative model index.

Getting back to the content, though, one thing that immediately struck about their archives was, if nothing else, their size. The site's been going for nearly a decade, and in that time they've been pumping out updates on a regular basis. In fact, the current schedule is is roughly 5 new videos each month, and as many as 12 new photo galleries. With an output like that, I suppose it should come as no surprise that there's currently 670 videos and a whopping 2055 photo sets. While those numbers might not seem like all that much when compared when mega sites, with the high level of quality exhibited in these updates, it's a much higher output than I'd ever imagined.

As you've likely already surmised from those figures, photo galleries are this site's bread and butter. That's not to say, however, that they've half assed their videos. On the contrary, though I'm not a big fan of erotica, these scenes contain some of the most well shot, eye catching footage I've seen in the genre. There's a definite elegance and sophistication that shines through with the choices of wardrobe and location, but there's also a noticeable undercurrent of filth going on here, too; the models themselves have just the right touch of "nasty," that, when combined with proper editing and pacing, makes for some very boner inspiring footage indeed.

Of course, it also doesn't hurt that the latest entries are available in a slew of formats and resolution sizes, including some great looking 1080p files in your choice of the Windows Media, MPEG-4, and DivX formats. There's also a number of mobile formats, and even the option to download scenes in 1-minute-long clips. I assume the latter is aimed at those with slow Internet connections, but would also serve just as well for previewing a particular scene before taking the plunge of a full download. On that note, the speeds here are quite nice, clocking in at just over 2 megs-per-second.

But let's be honest, photos are this site's raison d'etre, and undoubtedly the primary reason anyone is going to go take the plunge and purchase a membership. So, what's the verdict? Well, I'm happy to report that these sets have more than lived up to the, admittedly, quite high expectations set by the tour. They're every bit as good as those one would find on the glossy pages of a higher-end erotica publication, and everything about them — from the aperture to the immaculate lighting and sets — screams "professionalism."

What's more, either the bulk of these models are extremely talented, the photographers are just experts at directing them, or both. The posing and subtle facial expressions these ladies pull off is positively picture perfect, achieving the sort of alluring, seductive effect one would expect from truly top tier erotica. And while this content is "softcore" in nature, it skirts the line enough that even I, a guy who usually doesn't bother with the "soft shit," found myself having to rub one out before the review was over. I particularly liked the girl-on-girl and foot fetish-esque sets. So hot.

Just as important, though, these photos all sport massive resolutions. Even their earliest updates, listed as "3,000 pixels RES," were huge. The resolutions have grown throughout the years, however, to the point that their latest entries, listed as "7,400 Pixels RES," are positively mammoth. Of course, there are lower resolution sizes available, many of which I can see being more immediately manageable on smaller monitors, but even their "Low RES" option still puts the "Large" images on most other sites to shame. I should mention, however, that no matter how small your monitor may be, don't overlook the larger res photos, because while it's easy to downscale an larger image, it's not so easy to zoom in on those luscious naughty bits with a smaller one. Just something to keep in mind.

What's there to complain about? Honestly, not all that much. As I mentioned earlier, there's not much diversity in their model roster, but anyone with eyes should know that going in if they first looked at the tour page. So, I really can't fault them for that. After all, we all have that specific "type" of woman that particularly does it for us. So, why can't a site, too?

I can also see some being upset by the fact that many of the older videos aren't available in high-definition, but what can you expect from an archive that goes back to 2006? The only truly valid criticism I can see throwing at them is that there is the occasional set that some may see as looking a little "artificial." Perhaps too touched up or "air-brushed," as they say. These sets, however, were few and far between in my experience, and definitely outweighed by the hundreds of others that, if you ask me, damn near perfectly hit their mark.

Oh, and one great perk is that your membership includes access to a likeminded site called Teen Art Club. So, even if you somehow managed to exhaust all of the angels, you'd still have some nice young tail to satiate you between updates.
